The Seiju Dwarf Chinese Elm is a most distinctive, semi-dwarf deciduous tree, unlike any other in the nursery! It branches low or is multi-stemmed and grows to about 7ft in ten years, with an ultimate height of about ten feet. Old mature bark has a deeply fissured corky texture and is dark brown. Younger bark is gray and corrugated. Shiny dark green leaves are only ¼ by 1/8in. This attractive plant grows in any well drained soil in sun or light shade with moderate moisture .Zones 5-9 ULMACEAE
