WHERE WE ARE:

Plant Oregon is located at 2000' elevation, in the foothills of the Siskiyou Mountains of southern Oregon -- an area noted for its biodiversity, and a transition zone adjacent to the Cascade and Klamath mountain ranges, the coastal forests and the more arid high deserts. We have about thirty four acres in production, fourteen at the main nursery and twenty acres in a sunnier location in the valley. (Click on the map at the right, then zoom to the appropriate level, to find us geographically.)

If you are in, or going through, our area, you are welcome to visit the nursery at your convenience. We have staff available to assist you Saturday, 9:00 to 4:00. We are closed Sundays. You are invited to make an appointment if those times are not convenient for you. You can find us at 8651 Wagner Road, Talent, OR 97540.

WHAT WE DO:

Plant Oregon grows high quality, root-pruned landscape plants. A wholesale nursery for over twenty-five years, Plant Oregon also sells to the public.

We grow a wide variety of woody plants, standard species adapted to this region and many rare and unusual species. A focus of our operation is on native plants for general landscaping and for stream and wildlife habitat restoration. We propagate much of our native stock from local ecosystems to provide site-specific choices.

Our primary business is growing plants, but we also sell compost in the local area and the Holmac Treedigger nationwide (see below).

NURSERY AND LANDSCAPE SERVICES:

Dan Bish is a licensed landscape contractor and seasoned horticulturalist, as well as a specialist in habitat restoration and natural landscaping. His landscapes are designed to reflect to the beauty of the area, to be environmentally sensitive, and to encourage birds and other wildlife.

WHOLESALE PRICING:

Plant Oregon offers wholesale prices to licensed landscape professionals and to our other customers on volume purchases.

THE HOLMAC TREEDIGGER:

Plant Oregon is the authorized U.S. dealer for The Holmac Treedigger.

Only 3' wide and 5' long, yet able to dig, lift and transport trees with rootballs up to 32 inches, this unique machine is revolutionizing treedigging and rootpruning practices worldwide. Featured in the October 1997 American Nurseryman, the speedy, compact Holmac Treedigger can solve your problems with increasing labor shortages, narrow aisles, and expenses involved in hand-digging trees and shrubs.

For more detail, please see Holmac under the Department dropdown or on the left links.
